hello... from france!!! thought i'd drop a line, as i've had my c1 for a week now, and i'm chuffed to bits with it!!! :D i got the deeply unfashionable diesel version, but i live in the middle of the french alps, and do a lot of commuting into switzerland... yeah, i know, but it's the lifestyle!!! :lol: anway, little bug managed 800km to the first tank of fuel (500 miles) over the mountain passes between morzine and gstaad - it's roughly 6000 feet uphill, and the same downhill between the two, cos i go over the tops of the hills, rather than the long way round at the bottoms of them... and it's rather wiggly roads too, so most of the time in 3rd and 4th gear... i make that nearly 60 miles to the gallon in brit terms, not bad considering that i had my paraglider, my rafting kit (i'm a white water raft guide), and a microwave oven that i was moving between the two places in the back (and yes, that was simultaneously!!!!!!) couldn't be happier, especially as my fully comp insurance has cost me half of the amount i used to pay 3rd party for my 14yr old clio!!! :D go go bug i say!!!!! :(
