Hi All, didn't get chance to stick the leather interior on ebay this weekend, she's nagging me to clear the garage, so if anyone wants a cheap leather interior and is happy to collect from Salisbury, make me an offer, you never know, you may be lucky. Cheers Gary

Hi, after all this, I am now having a small problem. I have suddenly stopped getting this message (I used to get it every Friday driving back from Manchester to Salisbury), 2000 miles ago I was travelling to Manchester and 1/2 way through the journey got the 'Depollution System Fault' message and the car went into Limp Mode. Called RAC who cleared the fault code (on their machine it read P00038) which was 'low fuel rail pressure' although their laptop was showing the correct pressure in the fuel rail. This morning had exactly the same problem............... The car was serviced on Friday (20k service) by a reputable Citroen Specialist. I told them of the 1st problem with the Depollution System Fault and they checked the fluid level for the FAP filter which was okay!!! So whats the problem and what's the cure? Any help would be gratefully received. Cheers Gary

Mikey, I will get some pictures at the weekend (I work away from home during the week). The seats are in Salisbury, where are you? Rgds Gary

Happy to let the leather interior go for £140, if anyone interested? Cheers Gary

Stu, I think you will find the linkage is worn, gear levers aren't normally sloppy and Citroen parts aren't usually crap, I would check the linkage, especially with 125k on the clock. Cheers gary

Hi all, I have a light grey leather, electrically operated interior for sale, including the door panels. Very clean and in good condition with a lovely leather patina for its age (comes from a 53 plate C5). Sensible offers are invited. I also have the front and rear seats in Black cloth, from a 57 plate VTX+ in very, very good condition (low mileage car). Again sensible offers invited. Not looking for lottery winnings for these items, but they will not be sold for peanuts. Happy to chat. Gary

Hi, Don't know if this will help you but I have the seats (front & rear) from a 57 plate VTX+ which is black, but no door cards, in excellent condition (very low mileage, or I have a full light grey/Beige leather interior including door cards from a 54 plate Exclusive in very good condition (wear commensurate with age, but lovely leather patina). Let me know if any helps? Cheers Gary Salisbury

Hi Mate, not a mechanic or for that matter mechanically minded, but if it's what I think it is, it is probably the Suspension Pump, but not sure if it means it's on its way out or not, my C5 doesn't do it, but heard other Citroen's that do........ Gary

Norlander, Not sure what you mean, however, Traffic Master uses two systems,as follows: 1. A small standalone blue screen similar to any shop bought satnav, which is wired into your car electrical system, but it is obviously a standalone system. 2. A Traffic Master button marked TM, which is voice direction only, you speask to an operator tell them where you want to go and TM tells you the route giving turn by turn directions along the way. TM does not use any of the screens fitted to your car by citroen (well not unless they've changed it in the last 12 months? I had TM + Screen in my car and to be honest it was amazing and the best system I have ever used, at £109 per year with Speed camera alert etc I thought it was a bargain, but then I was doing 35k plus miles per year.

Its the 2.2 173 bhp engine, not sure if it's bi-turbo, if it only has one it still shifts very well under power :-) Gary

Excellent, as I was reading this I was fashioning my unused tow rope into a noose for the inevitable drop and swing, then read the last line, lol. Brilliant answer and very clever technical stuff, chhers. Gary

Hi all, I have 57 plate C5 2.2 hdi VTX+ with just 40k on the clock. Every now and then the RT3 screen displays the message 'Air Intake Auto Monitoring'. There are no warning lights and driving is not affected. I don't have the handbook, so what does it mean? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Gary

Hi, did you sort out your problem? Gary

Not sure about all your other issues, but I would take up the issue of the seatbelt being slow to retract. The test requires that the Belt buckle fastens and holds and when the belt is placed under sharp tension (give it a tug Guv) it locks up and stops the belt from unreeling any further. My Audi Cabriolet (weekend toy) is the same and they are notorious for being slow to, or failing to retract, it's been like it for donkeys years (pointless changing it, roof down and dust blocks the mechanism)and it's never failed or for that matter been mentioned on any MOT. I did ask when the car was serviced a couple of years ago and they told me not to bother unless the belt was damaged, which its not, because it didn't affect the outcome of the MoT. Rgds Gary

Hi Mate, no in fact it happened again this morning at 0430 hrs whilst driving from the SW to Manchester. You may have hit on a point about the battery, I will attempt to charge it up this weekend. Do I need to do anything 1st (knowing how prone modern cars are to having something electric al slapped on them) before I attach the Charger to the battery? You would have thought 450 mile round trip to and from work each week would keep it fully charged, but then the journey up is in darkness so lights on full and the journey back usually means aircon on, radio/jukebox on, satnav on etc and during the week to and from work is only a round trip of 3 miles approx, maybe the battery does need a charge? Kind regards and thanks for the help so far. Gary

Hi Mate, if it's the 2.0 HDi engine, I had a similar thing happen to my Pug 407, it was the clutch sensor, or some such thing, cost me about £3 at a mates Garage. It was showing I was slipping thwe clutch at 3000 revs (I wasn't but it thought I was) so shut the car in to limp mode and then after 10 mins or so allowed me to proceed. Be Warned, the time-out delay gets longer each time. Cheers Gary
