  1. Is anybody vetting the Citroen Picasso Forum site, for months now it has been overtaken by spam, members appear to be abandoning the forum due to this
  2. Quote from website; "Oil leaking into the spark plug wells is an indicator of a fairly serious problem that should be inspected and repaired immediately. It is almost always due to a failing gasket or O-ring but can also be the result of a failing piston or worn valve guides."
  3. You are so right about the early cam belts, my one and only purchase of a brand new car was a diesel fiesta, it had a regular belt change but one failed after only 2,000 miles, yes we had an engine rebuild to face
  4. I have a 2017 c3 picasso 1.6 hdi blue diesel, it is a Euro 6 and am delighted, if not a bit bewildered, that each year the road tax is £0, my previous c3 pic diesel a 2011 model was a lowly £35 road tax, think this was on the eloys system
  5. Happy to report it has self cured
  6. Looking into this topic reveals it is not a straight forward bulb change with extra space wanted for cooling fans and determining if your car has projector or reflector units, different LED layouts, must admit the Youtube videos show a huge improvement in illumination IF a reputable brand is used but there is still a big question mark over their legality and an MOT station could reject them, has anyone converted ?
  7. Your last part sounds a good option, live with it, cheers
  8. My C4 pic has started unlocking the tailgate when any other door is opened, when parking up the central locking will not operate until the tailgate is slammed shut, could this turn out to be a pricey repair, the car is 61 reg
  9. Somewhere among my tools I still have the hand held one bought from Halfords back in the '70s, with 3 interchangeable formers to create a range of ends to suit various vehicles
  10. Thanks for that, you just get the horrible feeling its your own computer at fault, thanks again, just keep trying I guess
  11. This will be an option, had it on my xpic many years ago, prepare for collapse of drivers seat squab, typical fault, citroen blames drivers not knowing how to get into a car
  12. For want of entertainment I watch police programs quite often and the situation on insurance appears to have changed over the years, it seem that for instance unless you are actually named on the policy you will be driving illegally just having a test drive in a second hand car even with the seller's permission, and how about taking over the driving in an emergency, its got barmy with rules and driver, top that off with non-transfer of remaining road-tax, its tax on the car being shuffled onto the driver, very underhand tactics
  13. What is amiss with the picasso site it has thrown a 404 fault up every time i try to open it, exactly the same if i go direct to the citroen picasso owners forum, surely this is not a spin-off from adblock plus, no other site or topic is effected
  14. Renault / Dacia have found a gap in the market, people want a strong, robust vehicle devoid of all the bells and whistles that have turned people away from Citroen by the complexity, expense and unreliability of their parts, Citroen has to hit back with its own trimmed model where you can choose what options and extras you want, how basic or how sofisticated, but the price has to be very low or they will miss the boat again
