  1. That's what it was with mine, I had the same symtoms, got a new one and fine....btw dont get a cheap one, get the siemens
  2. Yes I know this is dam near a year old but..... I had the same thing in mine, I got it mapped, went ok, but still a bit slow on initial pick up....put a new maf on, back to normal, probably if I'd put one on first, I might not have bothered getting the map, but what the hell, I've now got 145ish hp from 110...and my god you know it....and even in that size. Yes I know also that that's the basic amout most diesels get now and alot more, but for a 10yr old C5 hdi, it's transformed it. Just the boat like handling to sort out.....well try more to the point
  3. I put a pipe on as you said but there was no suction at all, so didnt bother putting my tongue on lol. I'd be as well maybe just blanking it off, ht's geuting to it though
  4. I disconnected a blue connector at the right side on the bulkhead next to a coiled spring type thing near the sphere. It must the egr solonoid (2 pipes come the top of it) i nothced a difrence, not night/day but slightly better acceleration and a bit smoother, so i guess the egr's fkd!
  5. Paul....I've cleaned an icv from a Saab I had years ago but never an egr, to be honest I'd never of it till i got my first diesel Lee.....thanks I'll try that and report back.....and yes I appreciate you using 1 finger :)
  6. *************
  7. A fault code reader a few days ago (by the guy that remapped it) that said the egr was faulty/blocked as I got "air polution fault" in the screen at the dash, well that's what he told me
  8. Thanks for that :) Again dam near 30 views and your the only one to answer, am I the only one ever to clean/replace one of these things
  9. I think it came on when it was off (dsconnected) and stayed on when connected again, the guy that did the remap (but which is now being put back to normal) cleared it I think
  10. ***I did try a search but keep getting the 404 error*** To either clean or replace it?.....I know there's two bolts (or torx) behind the head, how do you get to them.....also how are the clips removed, cheers
  11. Paul I dont think he has FAP at that year, it's the same year as my 2.0 hdi and I was told by I dont have one, unless they changed things during the year and he does have one. I know what he though about loosing power even on slight hills in 5th, mine's the same, bloody hellish and like him, dropping alot of the time into 3rd....it's a pita! And that was after getting a remap to a seemingly 135hp!....but the mapper said the egr needed either cleaned or replaced as I got an "antipolution fault" on the dash.
  12. Nice car Mikey, but a 2.0 petrol auto wouldnt pull you out of bed....but then you probably dont have it for that
  13. I have a slow 02 2.0hdi 110....good car badly let down by lack of grunt
  14. The 2.0 110 arent much better I wouldnt have another there to sluggish (02 hdi anyway) maybe newer ones are better
  15. An 02 2.0hdi manual..... It's sluggish under 3grand and thought i'd.disconnect it to see what happened, somthing did ie as in title. I disconnected the battery for a hr or 2 but did bugger all. Dont tell me i need to go to dick turpin to get it reset
  16. Thanks guys, will see what's out there and how it fits
  17. Thanks Paul and lee.....I got an autospark out and it ended up to a half off its mount block connector at the back of the fuse box
  18. I guess not....where's all the electrics whizz kids on here
  19. Does anyone know what this might be, before I either sell or take it to an autospark
  20. I've just checked all fuses in the glovebox inc the number 18 10amp diag socket fuse and under the bonnet...all are fine.....I dont know why that socket's not working!. Only thing it could maybe now is a broke wire somewhere, and that's a job for an autospark which could take 5 mins or 5 days!
  21. No it didnt, nothing at all, he then put his laptop on to try do it that way, that didnt "recognise" the car ect either, he then checked the fuses next to the socket and all were fine, I didnt know (and obviously neither did he) know about fuses under the bonnet. Is this the fuses that are in front of the socket lying flat....if so, that's the ones he checked and all were fine as all other electrics work ok
  22. As title....I just had emaps out and he didnt get any reading from the plug behind the glovebox, and couldnt do it  Obviously apart from not being to get it done (well unless the ecu's removed and done that way) no one's going to be able to get fault codes ect....this is major pita!!.. Then I thought about this... As I was getting it mapped to about 135-40hp and 300ish nm.....this should fit in and work and should be the same hp ect as mine after a map, or maybe the 160hp as it's the 2.2. Only thing is, if I got fault codes ect after fitting, I still would get them as my socket's buggeed.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-C5-2-2-HDI-COMPLETE-LOCK-SET-AND-ECU-BSI-01-04-/250868143131?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item3a68e8141b
  23. Nothing serious :) I just thought I'd say that from all the posts I've made (and yes I know I know it's not alot at all) but so far your the only one that's answered! (thanks :) ), if it wasnt for you, there would be none.....is everyone else scared :D
  24. In an 02 c5, i just wondered as there's a "break" at the sides as it slides out, obviously it does but anything go in?
  25. I was searching for some things, and keep getting this, what's wrong
