Thanks you are a genius. Though the area is small, if the transponder is held right up into the area, it works perfectly. Sorry for the delay in replying. Had to wait for the next ski trip to the alps. Grimblet

we have recently driven to the french alps, on the French toll motorways. We invested in the electronic transponder device which allows preferential passage through the French peage toll gates. However this device only works when held out of the open passenger window and held at arms length outside the vehicle. This is probably because the windscreen is heat reflective and therefore screens the device from the sensor at the gate. I understand that cars with heat reflective windscreens have a 'window' area where the treatment on the windscreen is not applied to allow the devices to work properly. Does anyone know where this area of the windscreen is on the C8? Thanks, Grimblet

Our C8 lost the backlight to the multifunction display (where the date and tempereature and economy etc is displayed), and to the climate control screen (fan, auto, dual temperature etc). At the dealer for a service, they replaced the backlight for the first (multifunction display) and forgot to do the bulb in the climate control screen. Does anyone know how to replace this?
