Hi Guys, After twice identifying my car incorrectly  Citroen UK have finally confirmed that my engine is the 138 bhp model :( and more disappointingly that the CO2 is 186g/km :( :( :( Oh well it was worth a try. thanks to everyone who helped with info

Hi Guys. I have just recieved an email from Citroen UK. After giving them my reg and VIN they came back wiyh the following info: Car: Citroen C4 picasso Wrong Engine: 1.6 Wrong Bhp: 110 Wrong Emmisions: 155g/km Wrong Have emailed them back asking them to have another go. I will keep you updated.
-
Mike i emailed Citreon UK today with my VIN. They will email me the emmisions info. as soon as they do I will let you know. would you prefer a post on here or a pm
-
Thanks C4VTS. My vin has RFN in the middle of the number so I guess that makes it a 138bhp engine. damn I have lost 5 bhp!!!!! thanks everyone for the help
-
Thanks for that Mike. I agree you would think there would be some way of finding out from youe VIN or something like that. I spoke to someone at Citroen Uk today and she said 138 petrol engines CO2 emmisions were 182g/km same as the 143bhp engine. Something doesn't add up

Sorry I cannot find a listing for a 138bhp 2 litre from your link. Your are correct that the handbook lists a 138bhp 2 liter. Interestnigly (for me) it quotes the CO2 emmisions as 186g/km which is what the DVLA are saying mine are! How can I find out what bhp my engine is? 138 or 143?
-
Hi guys, i am a little confused ( nothing new there then). I am still trying to sort my problem with the DVLA. Can you clarify something for me? I have a 2.0l petrol engine which I think produces 142bhp. Did Citroen make a 2 litre petrol that produced 138bhp? I have lokked on the net ,but have only found 138bhp diesels. How do I find out which engine I have? Thanks for any info

Thanks wozza i forgot about Mike's post. They replied to my letter by saying that I must now get a letter from the manufacturers stating the CO2 emmision. The letter I sent from the dealer could not have been good emough for some reason  Dont know why they asked for it in the first place!!!
-
Hi Guys, I know the 2.0 litre petrol isn't the most popular engine choice , but someone else must have bought one. I cant be the only one here! Please give me some feedback. ;)

HI Guys. I have just heard from the DVLA. They say that the website I used to check how much tax I should pay is for guidance only!!! To get my car regrouped I need a letter from Citroen saying exactly what CO2 emmision my car has!!! Can anyone tell me what tax group their 2.0 litre VTR+ is in please. Maybe I can show them that mine is in a higher group by mistake ( they say it is in group F). Thanks

according to the website vcacarfueldata.org.uk the cost for a band B car is £50 / year
-
I also meant to ask...What do you guys pay for road tax?
-
Hi Guys. Thought I might flag this up it may be usefull. I recieved my car tax renewal notice this week. £190!! When I looked at the CO2 emissions on the form it showed 186 g/km. putting me in band F. I checked the DVLA website and followed a link to vcacarfueldata.org.uk. I put my vehicle details in ( 2.0 petrol, manual 143bhp) and it gave the CO2 as 182 g/km putting it in band E and tax of £150 per year. Then checked Citroen website. it too says 182 g/km and so is band E. I phoned the DVLA and they said they were working off the figures on my V5 document ( log book ). I checked this and it did infact say 186 g/km. I told them my findings on the 2 websites I checked and they said if I casn get confirmation from a dealer they would change the banding. I contacted my local dealer and they confirmed that it is 182 g/km and are sending me a letter to pass on to the DVLA. Sorry the post is so long , but the point of the story is to check youe V5document has the correct O2 emmisions on it. Hope this helps.

Strange Little Thing Going On With My Heater Now...
Fizzo17 replied to Mike5483's topic in C4 - Technical
Mine is usually set between 16 to 18. My wife is always complaining that the house is cold even though I am sat in my shorts and T shirt. She says I am having hot flushes.....having read some of the posts I think she may have a point!!!!!!! :D -

I'm glad things worked out for you in the end :D

Yeah that was what I intend to do. Trying to find a cheap mains charger so I dont have to connect it to the computer (daughter has her ipod connected all the time!)

Hi. Just got a tomtom one and was wondering where everyone positioned their sat navs. I have got mine on the quarter light on the drivers door at the moment. Position is good for visability but poor for access to 12v socket. Where is your prefered position?
-
Hiya. Just recieved a letter this morning requesting I take my car in to replace a control block under the steering wheel. anyone else had this or heard of it?
-
Thing I dont like most about my C4. Is the lack of height adjustable seat belts. My old Mazda had them. How much would it have cost to put them in? I find the seat belt rubs across my neck. Tad annoying.

I was sorry I could not get to the meet, but now I've seen the photos I am glad my dirty black VTR+ wasn't put to shame with all that shiny paintwork :P
-
The adjusted figure you posted C4VTS are accurate for my 2.0l VTR+ petrol. I get 33.1 at the moment. That was 200 miles of 80-90 cruising on motorway and 40 miles of twisty country roads where I hardly got out of 3rd!

Hi Rich. what did you mean by this? I tried leaving a window open on mine and then locked the car with the remote, but the window remained open. Should the window have closed? -
Turned my stereo down this afternonn and triedit, but I don't get any 'farty' noises (well not from the car) :D
