    New Clutch

I agree with you hertsnmind. However when the keep you informed it sometimes doesn't help. I took my car in yesterday to have 3 jobs done. 1) replace rusty struts on boot 2) the seat belt warning lights only work when heavy people sit on the seats. ( works for me but not my wife ) 3) rear passenger seat belt sqeeks The car went inat 8-30 am. I was contacted by the service department at 3-30pm to be told that when the had remoned the top of the boot strut the boot lid had fallen down and trapped the strut against the rear quarter panel and dented it!!!! When I went to pick the car up they did appologise for the damage and said they will repair it for free.OK. The seat belt could not be repaired and they do not have a spare. I drove the car off the car park and the seat belt alarm was going constantly with no one in the seat! I now have to drive with the seat belt plugged in. So the sum total of the dealers having my car for 9 hours was they had damaged my bodywork! Sorry to go on, but I hope you can understand my frustration. (It also helps to have a little rant here) I am back down the dealers today to hopefully talk to the manager about my treatment. Let you know later waht happened if you are interested.

[ Better to be late than not have your car for 3 days! I agree that Citroen are proberbly no worse than others, but I also think that some of the dealers take their customers for granted. It is these dealers that are letting Citroen down in my opinion.

If his clutch had given up compleatly isn't that what the citroen breakdown service is for?
  5. Hi Lee. The only problem I had with the Mazda dealer was when the got a tyre dealership to adjust the tracking for me. The car just pulled to the right afterwards. I took it back and they appologised and reset the tracking straight away. The garage is a couple of miles off the ring road on the Willenhall road.
  6. Sorry to hear about your car. I had mine keyed today on a supermarket carpark in broard daylight! B**T***S!!!!!
  7. yeah I will do Lee. I was going to take my car there for its first service. But it is going back to Brincars one more time (hopefully) to get these boot struts done. I think they have been really poor. It is a shame because I get so many possitive comments about the car but the dealers are letting Citroen down. Didn't have any problems with my previous dealer (Mazda).
  8. I found my cheapest quote by using confused.com Just entered all my details and they got loads of quotes. I have also heard that moneysupermarket.co.uk are good. I hope that helps.
  9. I agree with you Lee. I took my car to Brindley Citroen for the 1000 mile service and to have a couple of niggles taken care of, but they only cured 1 fault! I have a seat belt that squeeks when in use- they said it was the belt hitting the panel on the side of the car!!! What? when the belt is beening used!!! The struts on the boot are rusty ( the car is 2 months old!). I told them this when I booked the car in 2 weeks earlier, but they could not replace them because they didn't have the spare parts! and as for cleaning the car- ha. The 1 fault they cured was caused by a missing bolt on the passenger side wing and you could see the greasy finger marks all over the wing. I have to take it back there for the boot struts to be replaced, but that will be the last time I go there. Shame really because I also only live 5 minutes away and it would be really convenient.
  10. Hi. I have just looked at my coupe and it does not have any lines on either rear window! I have no idea what they could be for
  11. Yeah I do the same too. I am getting 30.6 mpg out of my 2.0 vtr+ since I bought it 10 weeks ago. Done 1500 miles so far.
  12. Great idea Wozza. I shall have to get my camera out. Also have to clean my car ( not my favourite job) :o
  13. Hi Barnyg and welcome. I am new here myself, but have found it fascenating to read what everyone has to say. I bought my c4 on the deal you mentioned. £10995 + £400 for pealescent paint. I actually wanted the glass roof on mine ,but this deal was too good to miss. I am really happy with the car. A few niggles, but nothing too serious, and it just gets better and better the more I drive it. The brakes are FANTASTIC!! I came to an island the other day a bit too fast and it had just rained and the road was greasy. I thought I would struggle to stop, but it was no problem at all! Didn't even call in the ABS. I may be biased but I think you have bought a lovely car and I hope you enjoy driving it.
  14. Or in my case when I have the remote with me at work and the wife wants to use the car.
  15. Hi, I guess most of the C4 owners bought theirs cars from new. How many remote locking fobs did you get with your car? I only got the one which I thought was fine untill I gave the wife the spare key and she pointed out that she has to walk around the car to the passenger door to unlock the car! There is no key opening on the drivers side or on the boot. I understand that it is a left hand drive convertion and in France the key opening would be on the drivers side, but for right hand versions do you think we should be supplied with 2 remote fobs?
