  1. The rear tyres wear off at an angle and always have done. Citroen replaced the rear subframe under warranty, but the improvement was negligible. A tyre and exhaust centre put it up on their four wheel computerised aligner and found the rear suspension to be out of tolerance, but couldn't adjust it. Is there a fix for this problem, even an aftermarket one?
  2. The rear calipers were replaced on our 2002 HDI due to peculiar brake pad wear. The local Citroen Indy fitted two new calipers from Citroen and all in an afternoon, despite warnings about the possibility of shearing the bolts.
  3. We have a fully service historied 2002 C5 2.2 HDI, but there is no indication of the gearbox oil having been changed in 100,000 miles. The handbook suggests 75W80 oil, but doesn't suggest where the filler plug is. Questions. 1) Where is the oil filler for this manual gearbox (6 speed)? 2) Will any 75W80 oil suffice or does it have to be a Citroen oil? 3) Is there anything difficult about changing the oil? Thankyou in advance.
  4. We had no bother with a 2002 2.2HDI 136bhp engine in ten years and 110,000 miles of use, beyond a crankshaft pulley being found to be delaminating the rubber section at about 90,000 miles and a failed rocker cover gasket at about 100,000 miles. The car cruises happily at motorway speeds and still returns in excess of 45 mpg. It has had Millers diesel fuel treatment in almost every tank of fuel since the factory warranty expired.
