  1. Hi, I too have just come across the exact same problem with my heater fan. Unfortuanately I don't have a solution as yet. I have managed to remove the control switches (for air flow, heater and blower control knobs) with the attatched pcb board unit on the rear. I have had the whole unit tested and there doesn't seem to be any problems with it. I - like you, turned my blower onto the auto position and left it there for the remainder of my journey. It wasn't until I drove the car the following day that I noticed that I could no longer control the blower setting or even switch it off! The blower itself seems to be permanently on full power, it's very noisy and annoying. However, I am able to turn the blower switch upto the MAX position, resulting in the increase in power from the blower. It's the only position on the dial that the blower results in any change in power. I have read something about a faulty resistor regarding this problem, on this forum. The chap has mentioned that he bought one from a Citroen Dealer for £10. Don't know where it goes though, or how to get to or even test it. Anyone reading this - please help!!!
  2. Hi, I am having problems with my heater blower and have removed certain items in order to gain full access to the heater contol unit. In doing so I have also removed the dash board digital clock and radio display. I had to remove the plastic casing around the heater control unit and the digital display. It clips into place, so in order to remove it, carefully use a flat edged knife, preferably a butter knife or something similar. Carefully prise open one end of the casing, then at the same time try to prise open the opposite end, you may be able to use your fingers - ( this would be preferable as you won't mark the plastic casing or any surrounding plastic etc.) You could also possibly use another knife. It should unclip itself. Afterwards, you should see the screws (these are special TORX headed screws) that secure the heater controls and your digital display etc. Unscrew them and then you'll have to pull the display forward and then release the electrical connector from the rear of the display. Good luck! P.s - my car is the Citroen Xsara, hopefully yours is the same. I hope this helps. Good luck! Rod
  3. Hi, I have a similar problem with my heater blower. Stuck on max! 'Won't switch off unless you turn off the engine. Heater itself works fine. What's this about resistors? Any info would be greatfully appreciated. Many thanks, Rod
