As a new owner and waiting for my ebay Haynes to arrive. I have a very basic question regarding suspension fluid... From reading various posts, the suspension can leak thus causing ride height issues etc. I cannot see anywhere under the bonnet to check or refill. Is there such a thing, also is the power steering run from the same fluid/pump. The owners handbook does not give much info. Thanks

I know this is a old thread but as I work in the insurance industry I thought I would reply as maybe useful in the future. Most if not all insurers ask to be notified of non motoring offence's. But ease to obtain cover is dependant on the type of conviction. Also all convictions unless involve long prison sentences do become spent ( Look up rehabilitation of offenders act on the net) If the convicition is not spent then try a specialist insurance broker rather than trying comparison sites. As a general rule convictions not involving money/fraud are better for insurance than ones that do.

Hi As a new owner of a 2003, 2.0 HDi auto I want to give it a service. From my handbook it states the 2.0 HDI with auto box is not fitted with FAP?. So if thats the case is it ok to use any good quality 5/30 or 10/40 diesel oil semi synthetic. Or do I need to get something special. Thanks

Just purchased a low mileage 2003 C5 HDI 2.0 Auto. Never though I would risk a Citroen, but as my last car was a Audi A4 and after spending over £1000 in 6 months on repairs and then was told it needed a £3500 gearbox repair. I scrapped it. Prior to that I had a Mercedes C class and that was not much better. Anyway the Citroen was a Ebay car and I purchased it unseen and drove it home 300 miles. Seems a great car and apart from only having 1 key seems almost fault free. (Another key being sorted end of week) See how the next few weeks go! regards
