Thanks paul.h I had guessed that a new key would be required This next bit may sound stupid but With a new fob key is there any need to use the non fob key. It is my intention after previous breakins on other cars to remove the barrel lock in the driver door blank off the hole and only use the fob key. I have done this successfully on other brands but not sure if it will work on citroen.

i recently bought a c2 on an 06 plate at auction. On collecting car only one key and unfortunately not the central locking one. The key I have will lock driver door but not passenger and boot. Am i correct in assuming this car has central locking by fob key as well as an internal push button to lock doors while driving Any idea as to cost to replace fob key Thanks in anticipation
