I have a citroen C3 diesel. Recently I have been getting an intermittent droning noise which does not seem to be from the engine. It seems to occur whether or not I am going fast or slow or driving straight or cornering. It was really bad a few weeks ago arriving at the airport but didn't occur at all when I drove the car back a week later.! The village garage have checked it out , the problem was not apparent on the day I took it in so they couldn't see a problem . They said the anti roll bars needed replacing but that this was not related. They thought the steering motor was going and would cost over a £1000 to replace. Does anyone have any knowledge of this problem?
