Problem sorted.i had a faulty kit put new one to back of cig wires and was OK

Got the reading of the thick white wire and the green and black wire. This is reply to John Douglas

which wires did you use on the back of the lighter mine has 3 white thick wire green with black stripes thick wire and thin black one

changed both front wishbones as balljoints had gone and the squeak has also gone

Hi.I have a 2003 xsara Picasso 2 hdi.I tried to hard wire my dashcam from the feed to the cigarette lighter but it would not work even though I was getting a 12 volt reading.Tried the lead direct from 12 volts and it worked.HELP

its the top of the strut that's squeeking so it must be the rubber.Will sort it when I get time. :)

I think you are right someone said it is common for these to squeak from the top of the suspension. Thanks for your replies

Hi.Its not an engine squeak its more like a bed spring.Its ok on smooth motorway roads but squeeks like anything on uneven roads.could be suspension related but not sure.It does seem to be coming from that area.Has just passed an mot so nothing can be worn

Hi.I have an annoying squeeking noise even over uneaven roads.It sounds like its coming from the front left hand side.It is a Xsara Picasso 2hdi.Has anyone had this problem and what was the fix. :blink:

Hi.And thanks the wiper stalk worked .My stalk has been bypassed and a new wiper switch and washer button was put on before I bought it so I thought the end button was for the washers so now I know it isn't.Thanks again. :D I will have to get an owners book PS the email notification is working now ? :wacko:

We were out the other day in our Xsara Picasso and coming home I could only get 1st 3rd and top gear .This lasted for several miles and then it came back to normal.Anyone any ideas its been fin since and have done about 150 miles :(

Thanks .I done them before I read this and managed ok but if I had read this first I would have known what I was doing instead of stabbing in the dark.Was able to fix my vents while I was at it. :)
