if i were you i would change the oil and filter, block off the egr valve and leave it plugged in, and just so i could sleep at night - id change the turbo oil feed pipe and remove the gauze at the bottom of the feed pipe. i would also go down the route of getting the dpf deleted from the system as they are an even bigger pain on these engines. I had a 1.6 and everything seemed to go at once - clutch - fixed, dpf - deleted, finally the turbo went (92k) which i rebuilt and put back on along with new sump inlet pipe , oil feed, etc to no avail, as the oil galleries were blocked. if you want this engine to last change the oil every 6k and do the above - or at least start to !!
