  1. the abs is full flow so as you pump the brake pedel it will go throught the abs pump and to the calliper
  2. ok so start by checking the plugs then check the coil plack look for warn out and melted elctrodes (pics can be found on google) , rustey conections, sines of tracking ( carbon black lines on the ht side), split boots on the coil pack and liquid build up in the plug well non of this need spechal tool and its where a workshop would start
  3. engine size and fuel type, would help us help you
  4. any garage should be abel to read the bsi for fault codes but there are some that only have low level stuff hears your car mat07 STEERING UNVARIABLE POWER STEERING SUSPENSION NORMAL SUSPENSION ACTIVE SUSPENSION WITHOUT HYDRACTIVE SUSPENSION DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM STEERING (OPERATION) ASSISTED ELECTROHYDRAULIC STEERING
  5. paul.h that is corect but you have to have a car that has that equiped other wise you have non verabul power stering. thers no point trying to falt fined a system thats not there. a good call from costline on the hight sensors a bit of wd 40 or the like will work for that job paul.h if you look on citroen service box you will fined a tab called caristristics in the tap is gives a full spec of the car and in that it will say UNVARIABLE POWER STEERING or VARIABLE POWER STEERING, now if you use this vin 76601060 it will spec UNVARIABLE POWER STEERING so there are evedentley two types of power stering used.
  6. most spedo drives are now digital so yes it could have some kined of system, if you give me the lats 8 digest of yous vin number i can check to see if you car has variable power steering the next thing to check is the torque sensor have you noticed if the stering is lighter in one direction? i would get it pluged in to see if its got any codes stored on the bsi
  7. i would start by looking at the temp sensors and the loom for them as it is temp related, also i would look at the maf as if that gos out of calibration and the ITA is saying the wrong thing then it would cause a miss fire
  8. stu where are you as i can pop round if you are local to me and plug it in to my lexia if you get a new transponder chip it will need coading so you should try recoading you current one first the reacoding needs lexia and your imobiliser key code that is a credit card sized plactic card should be with your documents if you have it other wise you can get it from the deler or there is a site on line that can do them from the vin if you pop the key apart there will be a small black box in one corner you get the numbers from that and go to ebay or just google and you will fined or you could go to the dealer the circuit board is all to do with the central locking not the imoblizer
  9. thats 14+ volts at 2000rpm check your earth points and conections to
  10. the comunication problem could be a fuse but lexia is quite hard to use, not as nice a pp2000.
  11. i would start with testing the battrey as thats what it telling you the others are because of the battery voltage being low or dropping to much
  12. i am a mechanic and engineer so should be capable of beading and refilling the system i'm just unfamiliar with the systems and fluids used and was asking to see if any one was going to say it's a fault with the spheres or something. rubber bits are replaceable at locost so i don't mined replacing them just some of them are hard to get to
