Yes reversing lights work fine. The sensors don't work on the front or rear. Talking about wax Parkesie, I did use the gloss wax finish on the car wash. Just spent 5 mins washing them with fairy liquid, rinsing and drying but still not working :(
2007 C5 Exclusive Sorry dunno where Cng sensors came from in the title. I meant to say C5 parking sensors. Parking sensors working fine....until last week. I drove into a diy car wash and when I came out they weren't working. That may just be a coincidence with no connection whatsoever but now I have a message on the display that says they're faulty. No buzzers, no nothing. Any ideas what the fault could be?
Where can I find the eolys container on my 2007 C5 2.0 HDi? I have looked under the bonnet and can't see anything...but then I suppose I don't know what I'm looking for. And if I can locate it how do I know what the correct level is?
So let me get this clear.... in the event of a puncture is it correct to raise the suspension to maximum height first, then put the jack in position and then use the jack to raise the car even higher? How bizarre if that is the case!!!
2007 Mk 2 C5 Exclusive I have the bi-xenon headlights. They're excellent. Very bright and very useful. The sidelights...they're quite dull in comparison. Can the bulbs be easily replaced with LED ones and if so what size/fitment are they? Do they need to be canbus? Thanks Chris
I park with the nose against a wall. When I go into reverse to move away from the wall then all is normal but when I then put it into D to go forward the back seems to go down a bit. Is this normal?
Thank you Paul. Yourself and seefive are great for accurate information. Speaking of brakes...my brakes sometimes squeal (and it can be quite loud!) when coming to a stop. No noise at all when braking during normal driving, no brake judder or grinding etc. Any ideas? Greatly appreciated Chris
Hi Paul No other messages. I checked the warning log. The light was only on for a day or two then went off and hasn't reappeared. Another point...I'm getting the car serviced by an independent mechanic. It was meant to be last Saturday but it didn't happen. He's doing it this Saturday. Is there a way he can reset the service indicator for me or does he need specialist Citroen equipment to do it? I don't know what electronic stuff he has, I'm assuming he has the normal run of the mill stuff you'd find in any independent's garage.
No.26 Valve stem crumbling I read the link but it doesn't mention where to get the item (apart from saying ebay but I couldn't find one there) or what it is. I have this problem on one wheel and I can't inflate it. Any ideas where to get one and does t really work ok? Oops...found one...for some reason I can't copy and paste the link but if you simply enter 'citroen c5 stem valve' on ebay there are a few to choose from...
Hi seefive There is a spanner appearing in the odometer. The service light I refer to is the word 'service' which lit up but it is gone now. I did check the warning status on the menu but it says there are no faults.
2007 C5 2.0HDi 136 Exclusive Last week the service light came on. It stayed on for a day and a half then went out and hasn't reappeared. Is this simply a pre-warning that a service will shortly be due or is it something else? Thanks Chris
Well I have just recently acquired a 2007 C5 2.0HDi Exclusive automatic. Miles a bit high maybe (128k) but it has a full dealer history from new. Everything works perfectly and I'm getting it serviced this Saturday by an independent garage. Overall I'm happy with it even though I realise that it could go bang at any time. Superb comfort, economical and has everything I want in a car......except Bluetooth for the phone. Grrrrrr!!!
Also.......does this car come with an AUX input jack? I don't see one but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. I was wondering if I could connect my phone to the car to play music.
