  1. I did a full search of the car when I bought it and all I found were the attachments for the roof rails to turn them widthways, I haven't found the handbook unfortunately! Taking it back to the dealer isn't an option as I bought it from an online insurance auction that was over 180 miles away from me! This is one of the things to expect when you buy an insurance cat D though. There's a Citroen specialist not far from me so I will speak to him about it next time I take the car for a service. Thanks for the link though, very helpful! **EDIT** I will post the solution if the Citroen specialist fixes it in case anyone else has the same problem :)
  2. Those are the ones! Thanks for the help :) currently wedging the parcel shelf up so it will be good to have it working as intended lol.
  3. Recently bought a C3 XTR (2005) from Copart. There's a few niggly things I want to sort out, one of them being the parcel shelf. As is relatively common with C3s (from my own personal experience anyway), small bits of plastic have the habit of detaching themselves and running away. Both of the attachments for the parcel shelf cords - the bits on the actual tailgate - are missing. Only the holes remain. Luckily the ends of the cords seem fine, so I just need to find replacement parts for the actual tailgate. Problem is, I wouldn't know where to get them. Aside from eBay, does anyone know where I would be able to get these small bits of plastic? Thanks!
  4. Recently bought a Citroen C3 XTR (2005) from Copart. It had very few problems to solve and it is now taxed, MOT'd and on the road. There are some cosmetic issues we have yet to fix, though, one of them being the sunroof. It won't budge. We've checked the fusebox, fuses are intact. When you turn the dial to each position, the light will come on but the sunroof won't move. I have no user manual for this either as the car didn't come with it... Oops! Anyone out there had a similar problem? How did you fix it?
  5. I've noticed that my C3 reads a minimum of about 3-5mph if I'm going relatively slow in traffic. If I'm rolling, it'll read 0mph. If there's a way to make it more accurate, I'm all ears!
  6. Hey there, I've had my Citroën C3 LX 1.4 HDi (2003) for about 2 years now, and I've had this problem since I got the car from Copart (yes, I know, Copart, haha). When using the accelerator pedal, it's not exactly smooth. It's really hard to describe, but basically you can only push the pedal centimetres at a time, it doesn't 'glide' smoothly. Instead, it sort of moves in a jagged kind of way. This doesn't interfere with the acceleration or driving the car in any way (it recently passed its MOT with no problems) but I was wondering whether or not I should get this looked at? It doesn't make the car rev or anything, it's just a bit of an annoyance. Any help is appreciated! (Sorry if I rambled on a bit).
  7. It's the 2003 model, yes. What common problems did you suffer from? I've had small problems such as a leaky headlight, power steering cutting out and a slightly unreliable handbrake. Otherwise, a great little car (after fixing the problems, of course!).
  8. Hi there! I'm someone that is totally in love with my Citroën C3 LX 1.4 HDi (it's my first car). Mileage, fuel consumption and road tax is amazing on my little car, and I decided to join these forums to talk with other Citroën owners. I find the car extremely reliable and durable; despite the 230k+ miles on it, it's taken me to Cornwall, through the Peak District and all the way up to Liverpool! Anyone else got one of these fun little cars? I'd love to hear from you! BowieGirl x
