  1. I took my car to a car audio specialist and learnt the cause and reason for the problems. They refuse to use internal aerials mounted on the windscreen as it gives a poor signal and especially in a Citroen. They installed the same Alpine Ezi-DAB system as the Citroen main agents, connecting the unit into the EmyWay system auxiliary input, the same as the main agents, using an external aerial. They discovered the same interference problems as before. They carried a series of tests and found the EmyWay auxiliary to have a very low output. This would suggest a manufacturing fault with the inbuilt radio/satnav, as this has occurred in three separate Alpine units. They spilt the co axial feed and connected the Alpine unit into the FM input, and tuned one of the stations to EziDAB. Perfect reception and amazing sound quality. I took the car back to the main agents who are pleased an answer was found. They are raising the problem with Citroen, agreeing it is the Citroen radio apparently at fault.
  2. Many thanks, I will await Citroen UK response and then chat to my dealer,
  3. I have a 2 month old Citroen C5 Exclusive fitted with the latest version EmyWay radio/satnav. First question is why this vehicle is not fitted with a DAB radio as vehicle is current specification with Euro 6 engine. I am awaiting a warranty response from Citroen UK on this. The main dealer has tried to fit an Alpine EziDAB unit, the one recommended on the Citroen website, but the system cannot be used due to significant interference making audio playback impossible. Anybody have any thoughts?
  4. Hi, I have a new Citroen C5 diesel fitted with the new version of the eMyWay (version 3) touch screen radio and satnav. I took my car to the Citroen main dealer to have a Alpine Ezi-DAB radio fitted, this is the one advertised on the Citroen website and is supposedly compatible with my radio system. The dealer has fitted the Ezi-DAB to the eMyWay radio version 2 without any problems. The dealer has tried two units, fitting the Alpine unit in different locations but found there is significant interference from somewhere in the car making it impossible to receive a clear signal. So the unit cannot be fitted as it is unusable. The radio satnav fitted on the DS5 is a complete unit and has no problems. John
  5. Many thanks for the replies. I spoke to the main agents again, and they are still in the dark about the revision. The new C5 brochure was supposed to be out mid May, well that didn't happen. However, they were able to provide details and performance figures of the new Euro 6 engine, and I learnt there is a new touch screen sat nav/radio, replacing the eMyDrive. I think this is the one in the DS5. Rumours about Citroen stopping the Hydractive suspension continue, but it will be installed on the C5 exclusive. The Price and Options booklet has been updated however, and this does show the Euro 6 engine as standard. It will all become clear at some point in the future!!
  6. Hi every one. I've just joined the group. I've owned C5s for 15 years and just ordered a new C5 Exclusive, I discovered Citroen have revised the model specification on the 1st of May. I know about the new Euro6 engine, but does anybody have any inside knowledge of what changes Citroen have made. The main agents are either unclear or not saying. John
