Hi PAUL Sorry not got back to you earlier Had to cancel garage visit due to snow Drove 300 yards and stuttered to a stop. Bells and whistles Managed to get home after a couple of restarts limped Home trekked out bought a Fuel filter because it was so icy I thought I’d give it a try Bingo it started fine ,,, found I had water in the Diesel line which must have frozen ,,,Then we went on holiday So am booking it in with the garage tomorrow Monday Will let you know how I get on Regards Steve

I have a C3 2014 eHDi 1.6 with start Stop system I have replaced the Battery under the bonnet AGM Type as spec S/S Still Not working ..shut procedure followed,, I have read about a motorcycle style battery under passenger seat ,But I can’t see anything,no cover The reason I replaced battery, The car was standing I Think for about 9 Months plus forecourt time and only worked intermittently So as I intend to keep the car I decided to fit a new battery for peace of mind Also Capacitor has been mentioned as they “ decide the charge rate “ I might be talking ALoad of Tosh Any Help would be appreciated

Hi Paul Thanks for your reply Have replaced battery ( AGM ) to correct spec I did as you suggested it was Very similar when I had a Xsara Picasso. Start Stop did not work for a week But yesterday Tuesday it stopped and started .. Been out and about today and seems to be working ok My last resort was going to be when my service is due in about another 800 Miles and get the garage to diagnose it ,But Hey Ho Away We Go MANY THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT REGARDS Bluebird16

I Think the secondhand car market Add Colour Magic of the cars colour to their normal polish and buff off Coz Every secondhand car I’ve bought scratches seem to appear without being parked anywhere busy but after couple of washes hey presto there’s tiny scratches I’ve been using the waterless polish lately,,obviously if the car is really dirty quick wash and dry followed by waterless polish gives a really good finish Aldi / Lidl £ 2.99 for starter kit included microfibre cloth as well ,,@ £2.99 worth a try. Note:::not always in stock Have thought about this ceramic protection “polish†apparently you have to spend a full day preparing,,Nah.

Hi Everyone Can anyone help Do I need any special tools I.e Diagnostics to change this type of battery myself The Start/ Stop system works fine for a few days but since Xmas has had the hump and refused to work. Alternator charging at 14.7v ,,,,,I’ve turned of all unnecessary kit off fan/aircon/radio but that doesn’t help The car is 3 years old But it was parked up for 12/18 Months,probably Waiting for me to come along. I’m a Driving Instructor returns brilliant MPG 55 + easy. ,, loverly engine as with the others very forgiving to pupils My old Xsara Picasso had a procedure of opening drivers window and waiting for system to shut itself down Before changing battery I’ve tried to find info But got Baulked when I saw a site say basically you have to tell the onboard computer that you are changing the AGM battery thru diagnostic tools My 3rd C3 downside No Cup holders glove box Door miles too wide as a Filofax in door won’t let the glove box , shame Many Thanks in advance For your help Bluebird16

Hi Coastline When I pushed the switch the reversing light worked with both switches long and short But Not in the box itself Thanks For Your Feedback I Have since been to a gearbox specialist who tried the long one I bought And then put a new short one Without success I'll get my son to hard wire thru a illuminated switch ( he's the one with the C & G in auto electrics I was trying to do it myself that's all MANY THANKS

I have a C3 2009 1.6 HDi Exclusive Recently bought had full service with my usual garage and told reversing light don't work They informed me there are 2 types of reversing light switch a short version And a long version When the long version was inserted it jammed the gear lever so they took that one out and put back the original short one They say they don't know what gearbox this is I then took it to a gearbox specialist and was told a part must be missing inside the gearbox £400 to put it right I haven't bothered to check the type of gearbox as there only appears to be just the 2 types of. Switch Question can I put a switch on the dash and rewire from inside the car to the reversing light wires Many thanks in advance Steve

Hi NOT IF this will help I have a 2009 1.6 HDi exclusive Cit 3 Just a thought I FILLED my car with diesel 99p litre to the Brim After 25 miles stopped and when I restarted emission management light came on Drove over 37 miles for 5 minutes ( Haynes book ) when I stopped for about an hour restarted all Ok I'm wondering if you've done the same by overfilling the tank ? Is this Possible Regards

Hi Paul.h Thanks for getting back to me It's a Mk 1 2003 to 2009 it is an exclusive model usual bells and whistles But without cruise Should my garage have disconnected the battery after trying to reset the cruise Anyway I'll try that disconnection and procedure 1st MANY THANKS SEASONS GREETING TO YOU AND YOURS Steve B

Hi newbie here help wanted , C3 Hatch Exclusive 1.6 HDi 2009 Have fitted cruise control under indicator stalk my local non franchised garage who I use .cannot get ? Ecu? To recognise the cruise stalk the stalk is ? Working BUT the ? Ecu ? Is not talking to it ANYONE near Bognor Regis Area can help. Main dealers wants £100 to switch on Many Thanks Steve B
