Thanks for that have been unable to source a secondhand one so will just get a new one.

Update mechanic has got it open and it's the actual boot lid switch as its all corroded just need to source another one, hoping to find a secondhand one.

When pressing the button on the boot lid doesn't seem anything is really happening.

The lock is not unlocking even though previously a good squirt of W40 without stripping anything cured it for a while.

Hi all, I have a 03 plate C5 VTR hatchback and I have been having problems with the tail gate. It was sticking before so gave it a good spray with WD40 that sorted it for a while, but then this morning it wouldn't budge so gave it another spray and managed to get it open but now it won't budge. Has anyone got a solution, thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah have already sprayed both with lots of WD40.

Hi guys, my 03 C5 1.8 VTR has just started to have some weird problems such as the boot lid keep popping open and the driver door not unlocking with the central locking although it does lock again, anyone have any ideas? I have also began to wonder if battery is on it's way out as could be quite old.
