the replacement ecu kit come with ecu / bsi / bsm / key / transponder ring not sure if immobiliser prob was there as the car went straight into ecomomy mode and just wouldnt start

i have a 2004 citroen c8 2.0hdi 16v lx there has been a problem popping up now and again ( ENGINE IMMOBILISER FAULT ) usually removed battery terminal and car would go again now the problem is in the car all the time tried a new ecu kit but it didnt suite the car so put the cars own ecu kit back in back to same thing ( engine immobiliser fault ) removed the battery terminal car throughs up ( ECOMEMY MODE ) now there is no power to the diag port so cant get the car linked to a computer to read it any one come across this before
