Cheers. would you believe the fitter is on holiday till next Monday. I moved it today to get my other van out. its suffering smelly smoke and diesel snap.clatters like a goodun. this is why I normally do my own service as this is the 3rd and last time I let a garage loose on my vehichles.

Took my van into local garage to do timing belt.would have done myself but for weather. seemed ok when I picked it up. started up this evening and it bellowed out smoke and foot flat on the floor only reached 2k, is this normal stationary . wondering if pump timing slightly out.never smoked before.

Oil pump,pick up, oil feed pipe,banjo bolts and a new oil cooler arrived today. new vacuum pump ordered. anything else. oh already have new genuine egr.

Cheers. is there a common place for oil leaks. it hasn't used any, previous owner said it left small drips on his drive. doesn't on mine but has a light misting of oil under the bonnet. although could be previous owner sprayed with summat to make engine look pretty. sorry to keep bombarding with questions.

Been reading up on banjo bolt filter in turbo oil feed pipe. it implies filter should be removed and discarded. is this correct or am I mis reading.

Cheers. doing belts etc this week. will get parts ordered ready for following week. parts going to be cheaper than an engine. how easy a job I don't know.

My 1.6hdi came with no service history. 150k so going to do belts. whilst doing this would you bother with new oil pick up, turbo oil feed pipe and oil pump. has a sticker under bonnet saying oil changed couple of k ago nov 2016. was thinking flush change the pick up etc and hope for the best. van very nippy, no play in turbo.

got new belts,pulleys and tensioners, next project. the previous owner said been done, but I like to be sure.

No data but I can get that .its done 150k miles. no play in turbo as I checked. is the egr easy to get to,and where is the egr. I am waiting for delivery of a turbo charger sensor and map sensor. also a new egr, all genuine.

Hi. new to 1.6hdi, although been told shouldn't have bought one. 2010 m,y. 3 or for times gone to accelerate in 4th gear and eml comes on. also done it once in 5th. codes I get are p0238 and p1351. any ideas please.

HI all. owned several 1.9 berlingos and a couple of 1.9d dispatch. Just bought a 10 plate dispatch 1.6 hdi. couple of issues, one being 4th gear go to accelerate goes into limp mode but doesn't affect performance. says over boost. Anyway will trouble you with problems later. Atb. neil.
