  1. following on from the above ~(bloody keyboard!) the drivers side mechanism appears to be broken inside and had already been played with by some previous owner. I ended up cutting out a small rectangle in the door card that allows for me to pull back the large steel block thats part of the mechanism and hey presto it works like a charm. Im not too worried about the aesthetics as im turning it into a micro camper anyway. (pics to follow soon). thanks again Paul, regards Simon
  2. hi paul, thanks for your notes. I have mended them now, the passenger side needed a very slight adjustment to a link rod.
  3. thank you for replying, i will attempt to remove the door card and see if there is anything obvious that doesn't look right. kind regards simon
  4. Good afternoon, This is my first post as only just joined the forum. I have a 2004 berlingo multispace 1.9 diesel, and for some reason I cannot open the sliding doors from the inside. They open perfectly fine using the handle on the outside of the car. I have read many comments on google with people saying the can open from the inside but not the outside! mine has the opposite problem. I read it is a pin on the inside that could have snapped and leaves the outside handle flapping, this is not the case on my berlingo as my handles are stiff, its the same with both doors. I have also checked the child locks are not on. If anyone could assist it would really be helpful as the thought of being in an accident and my children not being able to escape is not a very pleasant one.
