Hi Paul.h what are you calling the top cover the black surround or the painted back part of the mirror

Hi Does anyone know how to strip out the drivers door mirror to change the temp sensor. I have taken out the mirror glass but not sure what to do next, any pics/advice please. Many Thanks in advance. PS the fault I have is just three dashes in the display so it does not display the outside temp, I have got a new sensor but need some help.
