quality assurance systems make sure everything is logged and traceable. if a fault is found then the faulty part can be traced. the part comes from a batch, so the batch has to be checked incase there are more faults. a big database somewhere will tell citroen which batch of cars the faulty parts were put in, citroen recall that batch, thats a basic explanation. who'd av thought i learnt something at college,

if thats with referance to my car, mines a petrol.

front drivers side pillar is a nightmare. i havnt seen many cyclists or cars on roundabouts..i think the c3 is worse for that tho.

seems i need to top up my oil for the first time, got my car 29/09/05 done under 6500 miles. nehoo maintenance guide says total quartz 7000 10W-40 and total quartz 9000 5W-40. can i use any 10w-40 or 5w-40 oil or does it need to be total? thanks Moggy :P

hello everyone, ive been a member for a while but lost the link to get here, figured i'd introduce myself again, m, 22, north east, silver vtr coupe, 1.6 110bhp petrol. loving my c4 despite the 3 recalls and annoying squeak that was fixed recently, need bigger wheels and a lowerin kit. still havnt got round to gettin quotes for my side strips to be sprayed, thinking about havin the black bit on the back sprayed to. its the engine rocking. just had that prob fixed on my vtr, get the garage to lube, the bottom engine mount and the point where the exhaust meets the engine. did the trick for mine.

im looking to get the grey plastic strips running along the sides of my car body coloured. does anyone know if they just slide off with a bit of force or if they are stuck on some other way. thanks Moggy

i just had an airbag recall done to mine, also had a squeak/creak coming from somewhere when taking m foot on and off the gas, and when changing gear. turned out i needed the bottom mount of my engine lubricating and where te exhaust meets the engine needed lubricating. noise has gone now. back on recalls, mines had 3 so far, air bag control, sealing on abs electrics and another i cant quite remember. what recals has everyone else had?
