my 98 vtr has had afew problems with the electrics now i am having trouble starting it all of my other problems are gone as i have joined the wires from the ignition. when i try to start the car i have to turn it a few times before it fires and when it fires it dies again then a few goes later it holds its revs and drives fine this problem only comes when the car is cold.

i wish i could do it for you but i am in holland. what you have to do is go to the garage but it will cost alot. or get your dad or boy freind to call me and i will tell them what to do my number is 0031634973591 i am english i work here as a mechanic.

I JUST HAD VTHE SAME PROBLEM. ITS YOUR IGNITION THE WAY TO SORT IT IS NEW IGNITION OR TAKE OFF THE COWL AND GO TO THE BROWN CONNECTOR UNPLUG IT AND JOIN THE 2 RED CABLES TOGETHER.

the cooling fan is working but only when i put my own power to it.the top rad hose is cold thats why i thought it was the thermostat. the rad has a little leak but dont think that would stop the coolant pumping

MY 98 SAXO VTR IS OVER HEATING I HAVE JUST REPAIERED THE FAULTY IGNITION AND THE POWER STEERING AND THE HEATER FANS ARE WORKING. THE FAN MIOTOR IS FINR WHEN I CONNECT A POWER SUPPLY BUT IT APPEARS NO WATER IS PUMPING SO I REMOVED THE THERMOSTAT AND STILL NO JOY. IS IT THE PUMP

i have a 98 saxo vtr and i have noticed water coming in through the sun roof seal (not sure if its related to the following) first thing to go was the power steering and the heater fans. i went to the pump as i thought it had failed but found there is no power going to the connection to the pump, so i checked and changed the relay and still no joy. Now the cooling fan has failed so the car is over heating some one please help. i am a mechanic but have little experience with cars i work on hgv and plant.
