My car went to my local Citroen dealers Hidsons of Rainham last week. I must also give them praise for good workmanship, I have found the Service Department team to be very customer friendly and helpful. The mechanics are very skilled and will discuss any problems with the car if you ask them, I only wish that the salesperson could have done me a better deal when I bought the car as I ended up buying it from another dealer perhaps when I replace it I will give them another chance.

I have still not got round to replacing my screen yet (stone chip) . I was at the dealers the other day and I asked about stress cracks on the C4 windscreen, I was told there was a small amount of cars that had left the factory with less packing blocks fitted arond the glass than there should have been and the screen would have cracked in the first month of driving the car from new.

Was the clutch slipping or making a noise ? There must have been a reason for them to do it FOC they always try and get you to pay for a clutch, driver abuse is the normal excuse.

Mine is a 1.6 hdi 03/2005 model and it had the update last week they also replaced my front shockabsorbers , rear pads and calipers . The car was only in there for one day I have been pleased with the service my local dealer has given me. (so far)

Joe why did they change your front shocks ?

Mine is a 1.6 92bhp and I drive around 40 miles every other day on the A2 which seems worse than the M25 (car share with my mate). I am getting an average of 60 miles to the gallon on the trip computer, I have checked this manually and its about right . Much better than my last car a Ford Focus.

I took the car to my local Citroen dealer yesterday to get the rear brake mod carried out and asked them for their opinion of the crack in the screen . They had a good look and spotted a very small chip along the line of the crack which indicated that it was due to stone impact and not stress, so it is going to cost me £50.00 through my insurance for a new screen . The brakes were done under warranty .

Hi this is my first post just joined today. My car is a 1.6 diesel 5 door and I have owned it from new since March 05. I just got home about an hour ago and when I parked the car the windersceen was fine, I went to move the car 10mins ago and when i sat in the drivers seat i noticed a crack about 4 inches in length a quarter of the way up the screen on the drivers side ending at the corner post has anyone else had this happen to them? :
