Guest bigjimmy Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Hello all, this is my first post on this forum but the layout of it is exactly the same as the forum I use every single day to keep in touch with all things to do with caravans...... Caravan Talk I live in France and I bought a year 2000 Xantia HDi 90 LX estate to use as my hack and general travelling dog kennel car before leaving the UK for good way back in 2004 and (touch wood) 'Claude' [as he is known] has been almost 100% reliable ever since, the mileage is now showing 110,000. My question is related to the suspension spheres. I have changed all of them myself in 2005 and then I had the garage change the suspension ones again in 2009, however now 'Claude' is sagging to the ground within about an hour of stopping the engine and then it takes a long time to pump back up when the engine is started again, because of this I think the central sphere at the back might need changing? Everything else suspension wise works perfectly so I think it must be the central sphere at the back. If you think it is likely to be this sphere, can you tell me what it is called please as I want to be absolutely certain of ordering the correct one. Many thanks Quote
Randombloke Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Don't Xantias (almost all of them except the earliest) have an anti sink valve? Is the suspension at the rear getting hard? If not it may be the valve. You should be able to get the spheres tested by a Citroen garage. Quote
