moon_monkie Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Hi, has anyone got any recommendations for new tyres form my Berlingo Hdi? I need two new ones for the front and have been fairly impressed with the original Michelin ones but don't like the look of the price! Ta <_< Quote
ian_c Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Take a look on mytyres.net or blackcircles.com I've used mytyres on several occasions, great service. Quote
pork_pie Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Go for Continentals. They are cheaper and have less rolling resistance (hence better fuel economy) compared to them expensive Michelins Vredesteins are the best all rounder apparently. Quote
wozza Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I actually think the michelin PE2's are really good. Good amount of grip very little road noise. But there not that cheap. £125 a corner for my size wheels for the PE2's Quote
pork_pie Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Michelins are the best for grip youre right but they are not the cheapest. Continentals for me Quote
wozza Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 What about Toyo's? Fairly cheap and good performing tyres. Way i see it though is spend as uch as you can afford on tyres after all they are the only thing thats gonna stop you or give you control in an emergency. Quote
tronboy Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Michelins will last longer than *all* of the others, so they're actually the cheapest in the long run. They're also not bad for rolling resistance, good on dry grip, but less good in the wet. blackcircles.com are great on price. Don't fit cheap tyres! Quote
