The reviews tend to raise 'Lack of rear leg room' and 'Cheap looking, plastiky interiors', and I was wondering if people feel the same way as owners.

My take on point number one is that it's a short vehicle - so either the boot or the rear leg room will suffer - and the rear leg room is adequate even for tall people especially once those in the front have adjusted things. Amazingly the boot is still a useful size too.

The interior is a matter of taste, but again seems fine to me (if the finish brings 'chicken skin' to your mind as it did for one reviewer then that's most unfortunate - most people escape this association though)

If I have my seat where I want it when driving then tall people cannot sit comfortably in the back behind me. So I would say iot lacks rear legroom, but you are right it is supposed to be a small car, it just looks big from the front. Or from a rear view mirror as you rocket along behind someone then over take and suddenly your power is gone so you stay level with the car till it comes back. Sorry, still a bit bitter from my engine troubles.

The boot is nice. I like the way it goes deaper under the modu-board. Lots of people I've shown my car to are impressed with that.

The interior is nice, but it is cheap, but it is a Citroen. Does your anyone elses trouser get caught on the bit of plastic on the centre bit to the left of the clutch?
I like the bobbles on the plastic. Not sure what kind of chickens reviewers eat but it can't be healthy to eat blue or grey chicken with blobs everywhere.

It is a short car. It’s not like the Policeman’s box on Dr Who; there is no more space than what you can see from the outside. The comparison that critiques here make is against a couple of new and very competitive small cars from Japan.. the Honda Jaz and now the new Mazda, both hitting back with slightly larger models at a lower prices.

Having owned a 1.4 petrol with sunroof since Dec 02, the critics are right; there is not a lot of leg room in the back if your intention was to hall around 4 largish adults, and that is I suggest an unlikely regular use for this smart little car. As for the boot, its great, roomy and well lined; pity the luggage net doesn’t come as standard! As for the interior, well that’s a matter of taste, quite frankly I like to spotted plastic finish, it seems durable, I guess time will tell. Sales here in NZ tells me that it has good appeal in a pretty tough market

I mentioned the sunroof only because it was quite an effort to get one out here. It’s a great asset; thought it might be gimmicky, but it’s great, with an insect filter, not too noisy and adds the spaciousness to a small car like nothing else.

So far a good reliable car, no rattles, and that was after a trip over a farm track! Motor hasn’t missed a beat since day1. Did I mentions that it’s my wife’s car?
