lewiskei Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Hi Folks, I have a strange brake caliper problem on my 2005 C5 2.0 hdi. The problem is that the front right brakes are sticking on. The pads are new and are freely moving. It has the same symptoms as if the piston is sticking but it is totally free to move. I have stripped it down and it is clean inside with no scoring or marks on it. I can operate the handbrake lever and see the piston moving in and out. When I apply the brakes using the footbrake the brakes go on but then they do not release. I have even opened the bleed valve to let some fluid out just in case it was still under pressure but it still did not release them. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Keith Quote
coastline taxis Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 sounds like a knackered caliper. How did you get the brake off then Quote
