Hi all,

New to citroen and c5 in particular, managed to get a c5 2002 Hdi 110 with only 67,000 on the clock! Bargin!! Runs smooth and clean, I have however noticed that the headlights both low and full beam flicker randomly. Also the centre consol will do the same but less frequently.

Is this a quirk of the c5 or is it pointing to a particular issue with my car. It has a full service history and all reciepts for repairs etc and can find no mention of the problem.

Cheers

Shaun

Have had same problem (and posted on here) with my 53 plate HDi 2.2 estate all its life. Not with the console, though, but the window control lights on the driver's door randomly flick. Seems like the suspension pump issue might be the answer! Never been a problem though and with 160,000 on the clock the car is still splendid!

Thanks for your replies folks,

Its is a bit un-nerving, but it is true each car has its quirks! I'm kinda getting used to the car but she seems to be well built and drives as smooth as you like. Just one other question? 5th gear not much use below 35 mph?! Normal or not?

thanks again

5th gear in the 2003 2.0 110hdi we have seems happy at 50mph and up. 35mph would be a real strain for ours in 5th, the revs would be too low. It is a high-geared car compared to every other one I have ever had.
