moon_monkie Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Got mine for about £170 after some haggling and that was an HDi so you should be able to get yours a bit cheaper than that (maybe around the £150 mark). It's worth phoning a few dealers and haggling with the local one to get the best deal as their prices seem pretty flexible. Quote
mr moto Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 thank,s for the info, that does not sound too bad at all. i thought it would be more. :D Quote
DesdinovaUK2 Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 We had a thread about this a while ago - may be still at the bottom of this page somewhere if you look around. Depends a lot on where you live, but agree strongly on phoning around dealers in your area - prices vary greatly here in Kent. Quote
mr moto Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 just a quick update, the first service cost me £165.00 at arnold clark-citroen in linwood paisley, the same place i bought it from last year. Quote
DesdinovaUK2 Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Here's a good one - Phone call to Barrett's Folkestone - how much for a 50K service for a 1.6 petrol Berlingo -- reply £165 Phone call to Barrett's Canterbury, same question -- reply £285 ! Quote
Johndouglas Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I put my C5 in for its first service and they took me for £250. A rip-off considering they only changed the oil & filter and the pollen filter. Air and fuel filters were covered. Quote
citroeneddie Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 John Did you get a cost breakdown of your service? I'm sure KFK would be able to let you know if it is too much. Quote
DesdinovaUK2 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Which one did you take it to then ? Ah there's the rub Terry - first day a courtesy car is available at Folkestone is 17 JulY! Quote
Johndouglas Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 John Did you get a cost breakdown of your service?Yes! fully itemised. For instance £38 for 4.5 ltrs of oil (for our other three cars I pay £15 for Total oil at GSF) £13.50 for engine flush (on a new engine with 10K on it?) £13 for fuel line cleaner. £7 to dispose of old oil. And on top of all that £131 for labour. Makes you weep!!! Quote
