Hi there.

Can anyone help me please? I've been told that my Xantia (1999, 2.0I Exclusive Auto 5 door hatchback) requires a Suspension Rigidty Regulator (Citroen part no. 527712).

Apparently, Citroen no longer manufacture this part?? and so I have been searching various other avenues, to date with no success.

I was told that the Citroen Xantia owner's club has loads of members who are passionate about their vehicles and so I thought I would post an enquiry to see if anyone knows where this part can be obtained?

Many thanks in advance

New here myself but it may be possible to obtain parts from France, new or used.

Search Google.fr for Pieces Xantia or similar.

You could look up dealers / garages using Pagesjaunes.fr and e-mail them, using google translate to create or read the replies (they don't always respond). Many breakers yards here would have parts but I have not seen many Xantias in them, despite being loads of Xantias here.

Not sure what part you mean but you could try the following.

Hi and good morning charentejohn - not sure if I've replied in the correct place!

Thanks for replying and for the links etc. - will look at soon.

I have put out loads of enquiries to parts suppliers etc., and am currently communicating with Citroen UK to ask them to interact with European Citroen dealers/outlets etc. as they must have databases that would identify where stock is? After all the Xantia was in production from 1993-2001 and there must have been a good many sold in that time!

If I can't get the part, I have located someone who refurbs. Citroen regulators, so that would get me out of trouble!

I'll see how far I get (my car's currently got a full MOT, and the weep is only slight at the moment) and then perhaps ask a friend of mine who lives in France (and speaks the language - tres bon), to see if he can assist in the quest! The idea of using the translator on the web is good - thanks.

Right, must away, usual tasks and jobs are backing up.

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply - hope that I can post more news as and when.

Kind regards

Ron
