Engine Cutting Out

Hi there

 

I am a newbie here so please be gentle, I need a bit of advice before I take my car to the Citroën dealer.

 

I have a 09 1.4 c3 and over last couple of weeks I've noticed a flaw with the key. If it's knocked while in the ignition and sort of folds down the engine shuts off.

 

It's happened a couple of times now, once on the motorway, and today I tried taking on a bus head on!! Anyone else had this problem or something similar?

I assume from this you mean the key folds down and turns anti clockwise in the gnition barrel?......do you have mch other stuff on the the sam key ring?, is it heavy?

 

Personally it doesnt sound like a fault, but i would suggest you take it to your dealer and demostrate the fault to get a more constructive diagnosis.
