I recently acquired a Citroen C5 estate on an 02 plate from my step father. It has loads of history.Recently, my step father encountered the "service" light continually on even though he had the car serviced a few weeks earlier. He also had "Air bag faulty" permanently on.Therefore he took the car to the usual garage. It was put on the diagnostic machine and showed no faults. He was told by the mechanic that the computer starts playing up after 10 years or so and that the lights it lights up are nothing to be worried about.I have just had the "Engine anti pollution fault" message come up on the dashboard computer and also the engine management light is lit up in amber. Is this another computer blip to be ignored or does it mean something more serious like a filter needs cleaning, or a sensor needs resetting? Any help and how i can do it myself rather than take it to a garage will be helpful. And can I reset the airbag fault and the service fault??

The service light coming doesnt mean it needs a service, it is a general warning to alert your attension.

I have code tested cars with lights on the dash and sometimes they read as "no faults found" you need to try another code tester .

Can you find a garage with citroen lexia or autologic scan gear.
