psincock Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Hi all Well i have just gone out to my car, a 52 plate C5 HDi Exclusive est, and the poor thing is resting right right down on the rear wheels. The rear screen is covered in an oily film and there is a slug trail on the road and in to my parking space. I have pulled the car forward and there is a big pool of fluid towards the rear drivers side.:-( My question is , is this going to be expensive and will it be worth getting done on a 10 year old car with 170,000 miles on the clock ? Many thanks in advance Pete Quote
coastline taxis Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Well youve done the hard bit and depresurized the system without a lexia. Find the leak chances are its a pipe. replace it then top up with lds fluid start the car and the hydraulic pump will do the rest. you might have to take the suspension up and down manually a few times but other than that its easier than changing a brake pipe Quote
TheGoose Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Just a quick question, when checking the LDS fluid level, do you do this with the suspension all the way down? If so there are two markings on the tank, I am assuming lower and upper. So if the fluid hits the upper mark, then im assuming that is the maximum level? Thanks Mike Quote
myglaren Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 How did this turn out? Did you have to prime the pump or was there sufficient LDS in it? Quote
