Digital dash went today also central locking gone funny also radio gone

 

called out rac who told me its a common fault with the picasso and if taking main battery off for 5 mins does not work it just needs re-booting at the main dealers who have updated the software and job is 5 mins long

 

called to see main dealer who dismissed all waht rac man said and told me that job sounds serious

 

any one have any ideas

I assume from what your saying that the car is now running and radio/central locking functioning correctly.

 

If thats the case it may just have encountered a software problem that rebooting the computor (disconnecting the battery) may well have resolved.

 

If fault still exists it may well be more serious and could originate from either the main computor, the radio or the dash as there all interconnected.

 

Just a suggestion.......you havent got kids that have shoved coins in the CD player?......might be worth removing and giving it a shake!
