The child lock is simple to operate......you just press the switch on the dash board to turn it on or off.

However, are you having the problem where the child locks seem to be on permenantly and you have to keep openening the rear doors from the outside?

If that sounds like you it may be that the main computor needs an update to resolve the problem.

To get the update you will have to take all keys, the car and the confidential code for the vehicle to your local dealer. They will connect the car to the internet and see if something is availaveble for it.

Of course it may be something else thats wrong with it, but thats a problem i know of with some C3's.

Hi,

For my case, it is permanently off, and cannot be activated to prevent opening from the inside.

it sucks wen the dealer wants to charge you for such silly fault rectification after the warranty period.

Could just be a simple switch fault.....might be worth pulling it out and having a look at the connections.

the switch gives a pulse conection to earth when you press it.....so if the switch is faulty and it only has 2 wires try 'dabbing the 2 wires together (dont leave them in contact)......dabbing them again should turn the dealocks the oposite stae
