wozza Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Just needs some work doing on it camper vans are cool though when there restored properly. Video is funny though. Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 camper vans are cool Oh yes, but not this one! As a quote from "Cars" :"The 60's were hard for you weren't they!" :P Quote
Stuey Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Jamie olivers camper van is really nice if you have seen it...oh and it has a porshe 911 engine in it which helps its cool factor :P Quote
Rich_Eason Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 One of my faves total confusion although have just noticed the tag of "French Handling" Crazy Fiat 126 :P :P Quote
wozza Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Funny how the frenc are regarded as one of the best when it comes to producing great handling hot hatches. I mean Look at the clio, 106gti, saxo vts, xsara vts. 205gti. 306 gti6, R5. I mean seriously they have produced osme of the best fun cars around for the last 20 years. Had this debate on the fiat forum though they seem to slag french cars off although i dont think they liked it when i bad mouth the punto i got to drive baring in mind i also own a fiat so not like i hate the cars i just thought the punto felt awful to drive compared to my clio wasnt as quick wasnt as fun and the body rool was awful on corners. Rich_Eason Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Apologies Wozza but Fiats fragility just scare the hell out of me.... So you aint going to like the story of when we stole me mates Fiat Panda using a pallet truck?..... Or when my mate took a hump back bridge too quick in his Fiat 126 with surf boards on the roof and got "air"? Subsiquent landing resulted in twitchy back end and meeting a wall..... But then there is the story of his previous 2CV folding in two....... Quote
C4VTS Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 http://www.pistonheadstv.com/videos/192.wmv Parking a Nissan Micra. How hard can it be ? :P Quote
wozza Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I have a fiat cinquecento its a death trap in an accident but its so much fun to drive it really is. its only the 1.1 sporting but cause it weighs nothing its rather nippy. Admittedly the C4 would kill it in a straight line or around corners but the cinquecento is just fun to drive more so than the C4. Quote
Rich_Eason Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I hope to god they are not in responsible jobs.... Quote
C4VTS Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I hope to god they are not in responsible jobs.... You mean like Deputy Prime Minister :P Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 That is utter insanity! How could that happen! :P Is there a brain cell between them? Move the Fuckin* Xsara!!! OMG!!! I nearly died of shock when i was them get in the damn Xsara! :P Quote
wozza Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 pft on a citroen board and dont even know your Xsara from an AX :-P Anyways seriously 15 minutes of parking who in there right mind would keep trying and not just give up? Total lack of common sense to move the AX while the other parks the car though. Quote
Rich_Eason Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Thinking about it.... Having lived on a street where people are "obsessed" with parking this is no surprise to me that they do not move the car. People get overly protective about where they park their cars and will do anything to "claim their spot" Typical examples of where I used to live include... Pulled back the curtains one Sunday morning to see our neighbour painting their own Disabled space outside their house, however it was big enough to park a bus in it. If you parked within 10ft of it, she came out and gave you a load of grief. Another neighbour used to park so close there was literally mm between mine and her car and would have to ask her to move so that I could get out. Of course she wouldnt move as I shouldnt have parked outside her house.... Knocking at the door telling me I have to move my car as it is outside HER house. Yet it was on street parking not allocated. There was a "hard core" of wingers and I am affraid I couldnt help but tell them to "Kiss My Grit". It got to the point where nails in wood were being left by the tyres hence why we move. I have seen these kinds of actions before where people HAVE to park in a specific spot even if it isnt possible to actually get the car in. People are mad Quote
wozza Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 see i used to try get a space in certain areas but i did live in the city centre if i didnt get one there i had to park further away and next place was usually a 15 minute walk away i didnt like having my car that far away when it was in the middle of the city centre. Quote
Rich_Eason Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Can see the logic Wozza, the problem these old bids caused however, is because parking was at a premium they just wasted space by parking in the middle of HUGE spots and just created more problems than solving them. Another trick of theirs was to lay wheelie bins in the road so no one parked in the spot...apart from my mate in his brown Y reg All-agro and drove over her bin. Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 pft on a citroen board and dont even know your Xsara from an AX :-P :P I can understand that they NEED to park there, even though it was so hard for them( :D )! but they were travelling together!! :D Quote
