Ciaran2903 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 As the post in the other topic, just thought that this may draw more attention!:I have encountered a problem I got the stereo out (thanks guys ) and was going about the wiring, i the red wire into the black box (excuse my technical ingnorance) and remembered that the instructions were wrong, i though "no worries, just take it out, get the right wiring instructions, redo.....done". I got the wire about halfway out, but from they on i cant get it out! PLEASE HELP!!can they come out? if so how? if not, what shoud i do?Im panicing!! helpthanks Quote
kfk Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 presumably your trying to wire up the electrical connector for your aux socket....and you cant get the wire out of this? Yes it does come out, no it isnt easy. Your citroen dealer may have a tool to help you remove them......we do! I think someone has mentioned the connectors are the same as used to make connections on a pc motherboard......have you got any spare wires in your pc?.......before you break the connector.......alternatively a trip to maplins might help you.....or a breakers yard and cut a bit of a loom of a suitable type fitting. Ciaran2903 Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 At least it is good to know that they come out, thanks! As anyone who installed the cable themselves wired them as the instructions, then had to re-wire them? Quote
Mat Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I got mine the wrong way round. I used the blade from a craft knife to bend the hook in before sliding the pin out. Then used the craft knife to bend the hook back up again before reinserting the pin into the correct hole. Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 Thanks, will pick up a craft knife/blade and give it a go. Hopefully i can get it done before i have to go back to school (2:30 Tommorow!.....yes, a sunday! Initiation day :P )Thanks for the help! ;) Quote
wozza Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Last time someone described the connection it sounded like a PC molex type plug maplins do have tools available to pop these out and there not much couple quid. Quote
