jmlee78 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I have a 2000 (X) 2.0 Xsara HDI. Every time I hit 78 mph a loud, continuous beep occurs. It only stops when you then fall below 73 mph. Additionally, the airbag warning light is on (I've waggled the wires under the seat - it goes off for a day or two and then returns). The sound occurs regardless of whether the airbag light is on or not. Anyone know what this might be? Cheers, Quote
kfk Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 The "overspeed alert" function has two controls : A control for activating and deactivating the overspeed alert A control for memorising the overspeed threshold You can scroll down the functions on the multifunction screen by pressing the button on the end of the wiper switch . The overspeed alert is managed via the trip computer menu . 2 screens are available for this function : Activation/deactivation of the overspeed alert function Memorisation of the speed that should not be exceeded Activation and deactivation are possible as soon as the appropriate menu appears on the multifunction screen Short press Change from the overspeed alert activation/deactivation screen to the speed memorisation screen Long press Deactivates the overspeed alert If you need more assistance on this send me a PM with an email address so i can send info Quote
