HDI Hatch Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 We have a fully service historied 2002 C5 2.2 HDI, but there is no indication of the gearbox oil having been changed in 100,000 miles. The handbook suggests 75W80 oil, but doesn't suggest where the filler plug is.Questions.1) Where is the oil filler for this manual gearbox (6 speed)?2) Will any 75W80 oil suffice or does it have to be a Citroen oil?3) Is there anything difficult about changing the oil? Thankyou in advance. Quote
THOMASROBLOT Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 hiIf you want fill your gearbox you have to use the reversing light plug. remove it and fill, it above 2 liter. good luck Quote
DaveHerns Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I never knew they did a 6 spd gearbox in 2002. My 2006 C5 has an oil drain plug under the gearbox right against the chassis making it hard to get a tool in place. Then you refill it with a measured amount of oil through the breather hole on top Quote
