xantiagreen Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Hi, new owner of xantia hdi 110, need to change the bulbs as they are not that bright and seem to focus like blinkers are on and aim poorly. How do I take the headlights out and how do I adjust the dipped beam and high beam angle and how do I know if its correct.. Thanks in advance Quote
Johndouglas Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Xantia headlights are never very bright - I know, I had one for seven years. Adjustment is carried out on a screw fitting at the back of the headlamp bowl, but I would advise against fiddling with it because if it passed an MOT OK last time, any alteration of the screw will alter it from its 'pass' setting. To remove the headlights you need to first take out the sidelights. They are held by a clip which is released by pushing down at the join of the wing panel. Then the front grill needs taking off and the headlamps are held by three bolts - two at the top and one at the bottom. To improve the lighting you could try some other bulbs. I replaced mine with some Osram high output bulbs. Quote
