Fitting Cd/radio

I have a Xsara (X reg / 2000)with a standard radio cassette player , have the chance of buying a second hand Clarion PU-2294B(D) CD/radio. It looks similar to the existing unit and im led to believe it is for Citroen Saxo or Xsara. Can anyone out there offer any advice on the subject, thanks , Andy

ok....try to keep this simple.

 

Xsara has 3 different radios.......they are not straight swops due to wiring and coding differences.

 

So, the radio in your Xsara.....does it have a code that you have to enter if you disconnect the battery?

 

If yes then a saxo radio might well do the job.

 

If you can disconnect the battery on your xsara and the radio works without puting in a code....A Saxo radio WILL NOT FIT electrically it will be diferent.
