Hi all, got the current shape c5 1.6hdi vtr+, the other day car died under accelaration and dpf system failure came up, car restarted but was im limp mode and shuts down under any strain, Now i have Diagbox and been on and reset yhe fault codes and from.what i can see its some sort of fuel issue, after every reset it goes fine for a mile then dpf fault shows and EM light comes on along with limp mode, 3 fault codes show up first time was injector, 2nd time was fuel pressure! Has anyone else experianced this and any ideas on how to fix?.

Well i am please to inform you that my C5 is fixed and running better than it ever has in yime i have owned it! I hooked up lexia and got 2 fault coodes

P0087 & P0093

which come back as low fuel pressure, and bad leakage so i had an idea of where to start! First thing that came to mind was Fuel Filter! So had a look for it and found it. It didnt look new so i took it out and judging by the dirt it has been on the car for a long time! Even though i have a fully stamped service book! @12500k intervals. I got a new fuel filter and reset the ECU i now have no EM light and no DPF system fault either and the car pulls like it should.

So for others who get DPF system fault coming up on there dash and limp mode cutting in. Try changing the fuel filter first is my recommendation it cost me £22 & 10mins to remove old and fit new, and you may find your car will be sorted!

Thats no problem. Hopefully will help someone else out in future, save them some pennies. Car is going great drove 40mls this morning going to my work and feels smoother and more responsive than it ever has, cant believe something so simple made me think my car was done, and that i thought i was looking at a big bill to put right! So glad i have got myself Diagbox! Worth every penny!
