the reverse parking sensors dont connect directly to the stereo, they connect to the BSI which sends a signal to the radio by the 2wires your upgraded radio doesnt use!....pm me with your email address and last 8 digits of your chassis number i'll see what i can do.

This is from a Peugeot 307 which is probably same as the C4

Could not find a wiring diagram for the 7500 parking sensor ECU

ELEMENTS

7513 rear right proximity sensor interior

7512 rear right proximity sensor exterior

7511 rear left proximity sensor interior

7510 rear left proximity sensor exterior

Right, on the power connections I have found these voltages (to earth) in neutral with engine running

Red = 14V

Blue and purple = 4V

White and White = 0V

White and Yellow = 14V

The thing I dont get it, they dont seem to change when you select reverse.

You really need an oscilloscope to check for the reversing audio beeps, by obstructing the rear sensors. The scope would display the reverse audio pulses.

One of those portable oscilloscopes would do the job for about £80.

If you are using a multimeter, you would need to select the AC voltage range, and look for a fluctuating voltage when in reverse, and no voltage with no audio present.

I have not done any of this myself yet.

the reverse sensors run into a ecu and are then multiplexed to the bsi. dont think you will be able to run them off after market radio.

The question is whether the output from the parking sensor ECU is digital or analogue.

If the output is digital, that would mean the reverse warning beeps are converted inside the Citroen radio, in which case there is not a lot you can do to replicate the warning sound in an aftermarket stereo.
