Joeblunt Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 So often with most things its the small things that matter the most.................... When pulling out of a side turning I hate the 'blind spot' created by the 'B' post, (the 'A' post is bad enough). Another thing is using my Tom Tom in the car means I have wires trailing to the Cigarette lighter (i.e round the gearstick) would have preferred it on the dash somewhere myself. In this day and age I think cars could do with 2 or even 3 12v sockets for accessories. There must be more but can't remember at the moment............. <_< Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 My tom tom has an internal battery which i just charge up when its down. I do use it with it plugged in ocassionally, but i route the wires down and through my legs into the socket! You cant see the cable! <_< Pillars are annoying! but doesnt really bother me too much.I guess the car creates alot of jealousy, and as i have found out, thats not fun! <_< http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g262/Ciaran2903/DSC_0020.jpgDamn scum! <_< Quote
Mike5483 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 The high waistline and wide A pillar, cause I didnt see a post and dented me door!!! Other than that, nothing really. I have some little rattles and squeaks. But it has got 24600 miles on it. My seat squeaks when I push the clutch down, but I cant fix it cause its a spring inside. Thats about it. Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 yeah the pillars and high bodyline definitly create visiblity problems, especially when going up hill! :o Hate multi-story parking lot inclines! :P Quote
moggy Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 front drivers side pillar is a nightmare. i havnt seen many cyclists or cars on roundabouts..i think the c3 is worse for that tho. Quote
incubus Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Glovebox and Cup holders.. a waste of space and not enough of em... :P ... ie.....Today..Went to pull on Handbrake and put me hand into Wifes McDonalds Diet Coke..... :o ... Quote
C4VTS Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 My seat squeaks when I push the clutch down, but I cant fix it cause its a spring inside. Can't the seat be replaced by Citroen under warranty? My seat squeaks, but have not looked at it yet. Quote
Fizzo17 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Thing I dont like most about my C4. Is the lack of height adjustable seat belts. My old Mazda had them. How much would it have cost to put them in? I find the seat belt rubs across my neck. Tad annoying. Quote
wozza Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 The hatch has them the coupe does not it is an odd thing why there not in the coupe there has to be a reason why there not there but they are in the 5 door. Quote

I need to take it in for a new air scuttle and I will have a chat and see if I can blag a new seat... Quote
Safety Engineer Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Things I hate/dislike: Cup holder: Bad position and not deep enough. Door cubbys: Good size but straight edges rather than the curves would be more practical. Economy Mode: Why??? Cigarette Lighter/Accessory point: Would be nice to have had one like the Xsara that stayed on after the ignition was turned off. Visibility: could be better but unfortunately the bane of all cars with high crash rating, it's a trade off between primary and secondary safety. Wingmirrors: Look great but are truly bloody awful, they taper where I want most visibility, a definate could try harder. Otherwise a very good car, some of these gripes I could also apply to other cars, perhaps as I use my car for work I'm being over fussy. Just looking at Mat's post reminded me, yep, rear view mirror is too low. And Reversing light: Why only one on the hatchback and Why so low?? FFS anywhere without street lights really needs two and being so low down they get all the mud and muck from the road on them, given that the xsara had two RL's a bit of a step backwards. Quote
Mat Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Anyone else think the rearview mirror should be higher ? Quote
trypodz Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Cup holder is in a stupid position and seems to be an afterthought Quote
hertsnminds Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 rear view mirror is too low.Why do you find the mirror is too low? Does it not let you see what is behind you, mine works fine for that. I would like a manual dip feature on the auto dip rear view as sometimes the sensors get it wrong. Sun visors not reaching the corner of the windscreen is a bit of a pain. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
Mat Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 When going round a medium lefthand bend, all i can see is mirror. I have to bend down to see under it. Quote
Guest CE05LDB Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 The C3 pillers are worse for blind spots. Quote
hertsnminds Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 When going round a medium lefthand bend, all i can see is mirror. I have to bend down to see under it. You must be quite tall or have the seat set quite high. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
Welshguy Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 You must be quite tall or have the seat set quite high. I'm with Mat on this one...I'm 6"1 and it gets to me too. Quote
wozza Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I dont reach the mirror im not that tall though only around 5"11. But with the seat at the lowest setting the mirror is quite out of the way. Just depends if you have the seat as low as it goes or not i personally prefer to have it as low as possible. My mates 6"5 didnt have any problems when he drove it. Quote

seafore Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I was very surprised to read the comments about the pillar obstructing the drivers view, I had to check over and over agin they wern't discussing the Piccaso as that is a major flaw with what is overall a nice car. I had 2 picc's before I moved over into the C4 and was somewhat pleased that I no longer had that obstruction. Like mots cars my C4 has a few rattles etc but still "luv her" Quote
xavtia Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 got to be the seatbelts for me shame they cant put the coupe seatbelts on the seat so they come over your shoulder rather than in your neck Quote
Guest CE05LDB Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I got two rear view mirrors in mine C3. the normal one and a 2nd to se the rear passengers but is also good for looking behind aswell. only fitted on C3 Exclusive and XTR. I wish my C3 had one of those Auto dipping mirrors like the C4 has. Quote
wozza Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I love the auto adjusting mirror. But im with people on the Coupe seatbelts thing they do get annoying. Also the A pillars do cause a bit of obstruction at times but same with all new cars unfortunately. Couple other little things i dont like the gearchanges arent particulalry great. Power sockets could be located somewhere a little better as well as things get in the way when you have them plugged in. Quote
