des Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 yes john i dont know whether to have it removed or not.might take it off and try to clean it out....the car still drives great even with the codes but i am afraid if i leave it without seeing to it might get worse so i will have to address this sometime in the future ..will try to get the steering rack off sometime in the next few weeks and then see to the dpf issue i only use the car for towing so its in the garage most of the time you would think citroen would recall the cars for some of these issues but i guess its not happening to enough cars yet :( Quote
Sixchannel Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I have now done one and a half towing seasons with my 2010 C5 Tourer (170bhp), having replaced my elderly and much loved 200 Xantia ( one of the last). We tow a 2003 Bailey Pageant Champagne - around 1500kg all!in.Don't miss the hyrdo at all, even for latching on. Ride is level, road holding is so much better, and the power? Well natch, its good to have 170 instead of 90. Still do a fair bit of gearbox "rowing", especially on Devon and Cornwall hills.Fuel consumption (normal) is around 47 to 50 - tank to tank.Towing is pretty steady 30 - 31 mpg.HTH Quote
Johndouglas Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 It was interesting to read your comments regarding your car. Your level of satisfaction matches my own. Can't say I miss the hydraulic suspension either. After I returned from Spain last March I got some MAD rear springs since I managed to damage the jockey wheel twice when negotiating speed humps. They've made a vast difference. Our fuel consumptions are similar too. Can't say I like the Myway satnav. Nine times out of ten I opt to use my Tomtom instead. Quote
