Johndouglas Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Check the voltage of the battery first. It sounds flat. Quote
mkmachinery Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 battery voltage 12.98 volts any more ideas cause I am lost Quote
Johndouglas Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 That battery voltage seems high for a battery that has rested for a few weeks. 12.6 is more the norm. Check the cables from the battery to the starter motor and also the earth strap from the battery to the body. Quote
mkmachinery Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 all cables are ok battery voltage high due to being charged after first attempt to start was a no go my understanding is on this model of van the ecu controls the start circuit is this right or is like older vehicles straight from ign switch to starter Quote
